Great for orienting your research

The book, "International Relations Theory 5th ed.," is a must have for your theoretical research. I have used this book for Graduate-level research and would easily recommend it to others. The book does not dive deep into each and every theory, but it gives you the appropriate level of depth in each theory to be able to identify which theory you want to use and do more research. The real value, in my opinion, is the listing of scholars and researchers in that theory area, making further research a piece-of-cake!
Again, I highly recommend this book to all students of International Relations.

Good for Introductions

Had this not been assigned for a graduate course it would have been okay. Great introduction text for people who know nothing about IR theory. Not appropriate for a graduate level.

I liked how this book delivers its message

I liked how this book delivers its message, the organization of topics, and of course, the topics it covers.
For most part, I enjoyed selected readings for the topics discussed. It provides readers with the opportunity about what mainstream scholars say. The list of further readings at the end of each chaper is absolutely a very good source that may help students of IR field to get in-depth knowledge about what others have to say.
I would definitely recommend this book for those in both entry and graduate level international relations.
