The Essential Saker: Understanding the Forest by Examining the Trees

Are you tired of the confusion surrounding current events that seem at once disjointed and incomprehensible? Do you want to clearly see beyond the groupthink narrative framed by the Western media and begin to understand things as they truly are? Originally learning his trade as an analyst "with a three letter outfit" that has since been disbanded, the Saker brings his many fine skills including his logic, critical thinking, vast knowledge of history, command of several modern languages, and a deep grasp of the Orthodox faith to bear on the problems created in our time throughout the world by the ideas of American Exceptionalism and America as the ruling hegemon of the unipolar world since the end of the Cold War 25 years ago. That unipolar world is in the process of changing, a new multipolar reality is emerging and the Saker shows how that is happening.
As an ethnic Russian, he understands the language, religion and history of that great country to show how the American Empire inherited the Great Game from the British. He will take you through the conflicts in South Ossetia, the Ukraine, the Crimea and will help you understand the geopolitical forces at work in all of these conflicts and more. For the last 10 years or so he has made a study of the Middle East, and brings his knowledge to bear on those conflicts as well. He goes by the name of Saker, after a species of far seeing falcons.
The book is not what I would describe as an erudite academic volume. Rather it's a careful collection of analytical posts from the Saker's very popular blog (averaging a million hits a month). As such, you can read it straight through, or skip around if you prefer, the articles for the most part stand alone. As you read through the book, bit by bit and piece by piece, you will begin to slowly assimilate a forest view of the way things really are that transcends the confusion of the individual trees, the front page headlines. This view will not be perfect, because we are all always learning, but you will most definitely understand the grander scheme of things and you will be able to more easily recognize disinformation when it is served to you by the state and its adoring press.
The Essential Saker is essential reading for anyone wanted to understand the times we live in.

The One-Stop Shop For All You Need to Know About the Geo-Politics of Our Times.

Saker is one of the very best military analysts of our times. He's unusual in that he comes from the Eastern side of the planet, (Russia) and yet writes for Western readers. He's sympathetic to Muslims, and yet he is one of the most dangerous enemies of ISIL, which is nothing but a proxy army of mercenaries fighting for the highest bidder. ISIL is an enemy of Islam, of which the buyer of this book will find the facts about.
The Essential Saker is the product of many years of military intelligence training, coupled with a few years at the very center of the Neo-Con philosophy - John Hopkins University. So the Saker really knows the 'real deal' of the US political powers, who are spending American tax dollars on wars in the Middle East, and Saker doesn't hold back anything - he certainly speaks his mind. He is completely against the proxy wars being waged, first in Iraq, then Afghanstan, then Libya and now Syria.
To read Saker's book, is like a one-stop shop, informing the attentive reader of all the machinations of the Neo-Con power mongering in the last decades, starting with the war in Yugoslavia and on from there.

Simply a must read for those of us sincerely trying to understand the modern soul of Russia, the synergies developing in a newly emerging multi polar world and the emergence of a new balance in the geo-political landscape of this planet.
The Saker, who also runs the hugely popular Blog "The Vineyard of the Saker", and as a former strategic analyst, he is an undisputed expert in dissecting all things Russian and Ukrainian and putting perspective ino the Syrian tragedy unfolding before our eyes. His views are balanced, extremely informative and challenging.
This book is the one of the most important contribution to understanding the incredible changes taking place in the world today.
I couldn't recommend the read of this more emphatically!
